By this stage of the implementation effort, JCS will have worked side-by-side with members of your business and IT teams - as well as the vendor - to analyze and design how your future state is going to function. Together, we will have painted a picture of how the system will function, who in the organization will use which features at each step in their workflow, what data will be used/updated/created and when, and so on.
During solution development and configuration, we will work with members of your team as well as the solution vendor's team to create the menus, screens, data fields, reports, interfaces, etc. required in the system to acheive the future state vision we (collectively) have created. Depending on the situation, this may involve using configuration tools provided by the vendor as part of their solution, 'add-on' tools provided by third party vendors for this purpose, or custom solution development.
We will also work with your business users to revise their workflow processes where appropriate. This may involve creation of new processes, reassignment of tasks from one person (or team) to another, consolidation of tasks within a department, or a variety of other process changes.
In all cases - as is true throughout the entire integration process - we will remain focused on meeting the original set of requirements that was defined at the outset. This ongoing focus on meeting the needs of the business has a tremendous impact on making sure the team is doing the 'right' things at each step along the way.
